Some tips I recommend when preparing to leave for your trip:
- Have a really good sleep before the trip. Pack your luggage well in advance so that you will not be in hurry at the last minute, wasting your energy levels.
- Drink plenty of water before leaving. Alcohol and cocktails will only dehydrate you further. Humidity levels in the aircraft will be less than 10%. So water is the best.
- Time your sleep correctly. Once you board, get the local time of your destination and set your watch accordingly. If it is night time, wear blindfolds and sleep.
Pocket personal trainer
I downloaded this great workout called iTravel for Women and it's awesome! You download it onto your iPod or MP3 player, and you can listen to it as many times as you want whenever you want. It's available online for around $20. It's just like having your own personal trainer in your pocket. It allows you to keep up with your workout routines while your away from home. It is difficult to stay in shape on the road but these workout can be done without any type of equipment. So you can stay in shape even if your hotel doesn’t have a gym. These are the components:
Day 1: iTREAD Outdoors + iSCULPT Ballet
Day 2: iTREAD Outdoors + iSTRENGTH@home
Day 3: iSCULPT Ballet + iSTRETCH Meditation
Day 4: iTREAD Outdoors + iSTRETCH
Day 5: iSTRETCH Athletic 20 Min + iSTRETCH Meditation
I found it to be an enjoyable cardio routine to help me maintain fitness while on the go.
